Violin performer and teacher

My vocation, my home, my passion, my first love. The last thing I think of at night before I fall asleep and the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning. Something that has taken me by the hand to see the world and has taught me how to teach. The reason of so many crossroads. My joy, my wings. Music.

At the age of eight I began my studies of music at the Conservatorio de Música de Tarragona. In 2006, I moved to Barcelona to study the Degree in Music Performance (violin) in the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu, where I graduated in 2010.

I have been fortunate to take lessons with great violinists like Raquel Castro, Matilda Kaul, Yoval Gotlibvich, Manel Porta, Viorica Andriuta, Oriol Gonzàlez and Iwona Burzynska.

As a performer, I have been part of several orchestras like the JONC (Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya), the Interregional Orchestra or the Ljubljana International Orchestra (LIO), playing the violin in auditoriums of Spain, England, Germany, France, Slovenia, Serbia, Italy and USA. Nowadays I am part of the string quartet Quartet Argent for eight years, where I developed my chamber music career, and the duo Como agua de mayo.

I have always been passionate about education and that is why I began teaching when I was very young. With students from 3 to 99 years old, I have developed my career as a teacher at different institutions and schools, like the Escuela de Música Orfeó Gracienc, the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Tarragona, the CEM Diaula, the Escola de Músics Juan Pedro Carrero (JPC) or the social program Ens Raval’em (teachig violin performance at CEIP Drassanes).

In 2016, I moved from Barcelona to Brooklyn to learn from New York artistic movements and get involved in the Big Apple music and cultural diversity. Now, I'm collaborating in a violin band where our main goal is to break the boundaries of this instrument and to create a new and interesting sound using electronics, pedals, loops and contemporary techniques.

As a violin and chamber teacher I have been part of Union City Music Project, el Sistema alliance and now I'm teacher at the prestigios independent school Wetherby-Pembridge New York.
